Why TheVizzini.com was created
TheVizzini.com was created by Doug Pershing, Vice President of Data & Production at WMSG Incorporated in Dallas Texas. The idea was concieved in the summer of 2007. While developing highly complex full color VDP (Variable Data Print) applications and running through the normal changes and revisions that happen in the regular life cycle of any program application, it became evident where most of our clients time was being spent. Revisions and re-proofing customer programs takes a great deal of time and resources that could be better allocated on both our clients side and ours. This system originally was, in its simplest form, meant to relieve the time crunch and stress of the revision process for our customers.

Once the initial system was put in place as a proofing and revision site it quickly became evident that the functionality of the system can take it much farther than a simple proofing system. The system can create and manage customer documents. Through customer feature requests TheVizzini.com is in a constant state of improvement. Some of the revisions have taken this simple idea and transformed it into a complete document management system with the ability to create a library of documents, combine them together, and in a final process number the pages, add front and back covers, and generate a true table of contents. TheVizzini.com is not just a proofer anymore.

What is TheVizzini.com
TheVizzini.com is a powerful data management tool combined with an extremely powerful document creation system and image viewing site. At the heart of the system is a custom built process interface linking the project database (or databases), to a sophisticated templating system with style sheets and business rules uniquely designed for each project. TheVizzini.com can take the simplest VDP to the most complex full color VDP applications and put the control where it belongs, in the customer's hands.

All proofing and changes can happen in minutes, not days. This is not a "like" process that will show what an end customer "should" receive. Anything that runs through TheVizzini.com is running through the actual process that a customer file will run through while in production. What you see is truly what you get.

System requirements

The Vizzini.com is now supported on Internet Explorere 6 and above, Safari, Firefox (Mac and PC), Opera, and Camino web browsers. All processes can also be performed on the Apple iPhone.

Job set-up requirements

Jobs are submitted to TheVizzini.com in all standard pre-press forms. Mac and PC files are acceptable. Adobe InDesign or QuarkXpress are general standards, but Illustrator or Photoshop files are also acceptable. If a studio person needs access to any Asset Management locations for customer controlled images Mac and PC connections can be accommodated.
